OFFICERS  -  2009
 
PRESIDENT- Charlie Sasser 
Charlie Sasser has been involved in training and showing horses for over 40 years.  Until his retirement from Public education, this was his second career as well as his passion.  Now Charlie is a full time trainer and judge for various horse breeds.  He is also the co-owner of Sassers Paint Horses located in Seguin, Texas.  Charlie is currently an active member of the APHA and several clubs in Texas and Louisiana. 
 

VICE PRESIDENT- Kevin Smith
Kevin Smith has been a horseman for most of his life.  Kevin and his family have been very active horse show members since 1994.  Kevin co-owns and operates Rockin' Bar S Paint and Quarter Horses with his wife Nancy out of Magnolia, TX.  They have been very successful and fortunate to have won 18 world and reserve world titles.  In Kevin's "real" life he owns and operates a cargo container terminal named Equipment Management Services, LLC.  Not only is Kevin an lifetime member of APHA, an active member and officer of the STPHC, but he is also the President of the Gulf Coast Paint Horse Club.

SECRETARY- Charmane Whatley

Charmane Whatley has been a Sr. Legal Assistant for KBR, Inc. for the past 14 ½ years.  Charmane has been raising and showing horses for the past 5 years with her husband Smokie. Charmane is an active member of APHA, PtHA, Secretary for CTPHC, Open Show Director for MCHC, and Vice President of Gulf Coast Pinto Club.

TREASURER- Cathy Sasser
Cathy Sasser has been involved with horses for her entire life.  Cathy began her APHA show career in 1989 and competed in the amateur ranks for over 14 years.  In 2004 she gave up her amateur status to become a trainer.  As a co-owner of Sassers Paint Horses, located in Seguin, TX, she shows horses for numerous customers in both Texas and Louisiana.  In 2008, Cathy received her judge's card for ABRA and AMHA, but remains an active member of the APHA shows and events.
